Sewing Summit
So, the Sewing Summit happened – a few weeks ago. It was all kind of a blur & pretty surreal. I made new friends, visited some shops I’ve never been to before, met some serious blog rock stars, took some classes, & learned a lot.
It was baptism by fire for me, as I had never taught (or taken, for that matter) a quilting class… But there I was, teaching 50+ ladies at a time, each on a sewing machine. In a fancy ballroom, no less. The ladies who took my class came up with some awesome patchwork, which was so exciting! I’ve seen a few of them posted on blogs & Flickr. It was also fun to show my quilts & talk about them a bit, which is something I don’t do very often.
I took no pictures whatsoever the whole weekend. I did come across a picture of my hands here, so definitely check that out! LOL. There is also a link roundup here, on the Sewing Summit website.
Thank you to all who took my class, invited me places, inspired me, & taught me new things! And of course, Amy & Erin for pulling off such a great event.
I came across your blog because of sewing summit posts on other blogs!! Your work is beautiful and I’ve spent quite a bit of time perusing your back entries. Truth be told I’ve been trying to pick you out in sewing summit photos because I LOVE your haircut! ha
Have a wonderful day. :)

I agree, you did a great job! It was fun seeing your quilts in person!
I absolutely loved you class at the Sewing Summit! I never would have known that you hadn’t taught before because you were a natural and as beautiful as your creations are online – they are stunning in person!!! :)
I’m bummed I didn’t take your class! I almost snuck in Sunday morning. :)
What’s the biggest thing to keep in mind when improv piecing?
It was so fun to meet you at the Sewing Summit, and an earlier commenter was right, you are a natural teacher! I loved your class and love your quilts! Thanks for the inspiration. You are darling!
