Cottage quilt

25th January 2010

This is one of my favorite quilts I’ve ever made. I made these blocks from my scrap bag, choosing red, orange, yellow, green & aqua. I included sections of white because I had originally planned to sash them in the same white – thus eliminating some of the block edges. For some reason I picked linen instead, which I do really like. I still have more of these blocks, so I think I will try the white sashing next time.

For the back, I used this large-scale bird print (which I love SO MUCH), with a strip of FMF green. It’s quilted in a hybrid meander-ripple pattern (I was in a weird mood that day). It is about 36″x45″.

As always, you can click on the thumbnails to see larger photos.

I would like to thank you for the efforts you’ve put in writing this website. I am hoping to check out the same high-grade blog posts from you in the future as well. In fact, your creative writing abilities has encouraged me to get my very own blog now ;)
